auntie gave us tuna
again tonight! TUNA! three nights in a ROW! even Giles got some, and he didn't fuss and try to bury it. i just can believe she's giving us TUNA!
aaand! she played yarn with me. i love yarn, almost as much as i love tuna. makes up for the fight with Giles where he backed me under the chair. doofus. he won't get away with that!
Giles calls her "momma." Sometimes i slip up and call her that too, even though i know she's not my real mom. Aunite said my real mom
won't be mad, but i'm not so sure about that. Current Mood: loved

oh! this is so exciting!! Ophelia wrote to me (well, ok, us
) again and she wants to see pictures of me (er, um, well, us
)! i'm absolutely beside myself .. i feel like i've been slipped and extra-super-dose of catnip.
i keep trying to get Auntie to take new and more interesting pictures of me (better lighting, an interesting angle, no goofy looks or embarrassing poses) but she said the ones we have are fine. Giles is no help, of course. he can't understand why we can't see her or smell her. when we get letters in the box, we're allowed to sniff them, but when he tries to sniff the screen, auntie shooes him off the desk. personally, i think that he thinks those strange cats outside are ophelia, even though they don't look like she described herself. i'm so glad i insisted on being the spokescat for us. *purrrrrrrs*
i hope she sends a picture of herself. even if it's got her mom and dad in it. i bet she's really pretty.*puuuuuurrrrrrrs* Current Mood: giddy

i have a new friend. her name is ophelia, and she's an all black kitty with a white spot on her belly. well, at least that's what she told me.
you see, we've been emailing each other. I guess my auntie met her mom and dad when she went away a few weeks ago. she got all geeky about it, the way she tends to do, so Giles and i had to step in and help wrap up something. ophelia responded, and the rest is history.
Auntie says that ophelia's mom and dad are famous; i think she's just sayint that 'cause she's jealous. but they know chicken
, maybe they are? still, it was me (er, us) that ophelia sent a present to, along with a letter, not auntie. i think i'll ask auntie to help us make something to send to ophelia. Current Mood: giggly

Dammit! There's another cat IN THE HOUSE. and my auntie doesn't seem to think this is a problem!
He was just on the other side of a door, and i thought if i hissed at him enough he'd leave, but instead, auntie let him out, and now he's sitting by her feet. I don't know who he thinks he is, or what he thinks he's doing with MY auntie!
I've been giving my auntie my very best pissed-off look (she doesn't know i practice that while she's gone), but it doesn't seem to be working. Current Mood: pissed off

|Where does the time go?
Gosh, it's been much too long since i've updated my journal. There's been a lot of activity around here lately. i've had to go in the blue box not once but twice, and the second time, i ended up someplace strange that is apparently our new home.
The other big change is that this new human keeps coming over, or auntie will leave me for a really long time, and come back smelling like this other human. She's OK i think (i'll get her back for locking me in the bathroom!!), and she smells friendly. i can't tell exactly how many animals own her, but i know it's a LOT.
our new house is nice. it's really big, and has lots of doors to try to open. there's more windows for me to lay in, too. there more of a lot of things, come to think of it. i've got a ton of space to roll around and stretch, and lots of carpet to claw up.
Auntie told me the other night that my mom
will be coming to see me soon! i miss them all. Current Mood: awake

ah, how i love these lazy days. i spent most of the night snuggled next to my human
, and when she got up for work, i moved to where the covers were warm and promptly went back to sleep. i think i remember her saying goodbye when she left, but it's possible i dreamed it. Current Mood: lazy

|of all the nerve...
some young whipper-snapper tried to pick a fight with me last night.
through the (closed) back door.
turf, no less.
i showed HIM. (well, auntie and her evil broom of doom helped) Current Mood: annoyed

One of auntie's friends
gave her a present for me!! fuzzy rainbow-colored catnip balls! yummy! it was sooooo good, i promptly shred it to a zillion little fuzzy pieces, which tasted even better. made me forget all about her being gone most of the day, and smelling like lots of other strange animals when she returned. Current Mood: loved

|Bugs! birds! squirrels!
last week, my auntie opened up the doors and windows to the house, and for the first time in ages, i got to smell outside! such wonderful, delicious, mouth-watering smells! i could lay along the back door and stalk the squirrels, and i fit inside the windows, giving me a better view of the birds. but no matter how long i sat at the front door and cried, auntie wouldn't let me outside. Must impliment Plan B, once i figure out what that might be.
This morning, i found a bug to play with. i chased it around auntie's bedroom, and then, when she wasn't looking, i gobbled it up ~ YUM! Current Mood: satisfied

dude, my human is totally weird. first, she moves all my stuff to the dark and scary room, and leaves me there all day. then she comes home, ignores me, and leaves again. Then, dude, get this... she comes home all smilin and stuff. girlfriend had scored me a bag of primo catnip! she put some on my scratching post and dude, i like totally tripped out! man, what a wild ride! i know she's got more hidden somewhere, but i've checked out all the cupboards down low, and i can't find it. dude, gimme some more of that stuff!

|Proof i don't spend the whole day sleeping
the trail of purple yarn starts in the living room, circles my scratching post, jumbles up in the kitchen, then goes under the kitchen table, under not one, but TWO chairs, around the plant sitting on the floor, then under the stove.
I can't wait for my human to get home and see how busy i've been! Current Mood: accomplished

another human came to see me today!! yipee!! she was very nice, and brought me presents! i got new treats, and a toy that i suspect has catnip inside. i'll have to investigate this further after my nap.
Auntie and this other person spent a lot of time talking, so i let her pet me while i napped on her lap. 'cept she wasn't doing it right, so i had to bite her. i forgot how much training humans require! Current Mood: pleased

i like my new house. i've got a big bed to sleep on, yarn and toys to play with, and windows to look out. Still no success in getting outside, no matter how many different ways i ask. the human is pretty nice, too. she pets me when i want it, and she brought me yummy treats from the store.

People came to see me today. I would have liked them, but the little one was scary, and they both smelled like dog. They also took away one of my scratching tables.
I think i've figured out my new human's name: it's "auntcyd." That's what these dog-people called her, anyway. I'll give that name a whirl and see what happens.

a couple days ago, a bunch of highly unusual things happened. First, the blue box made a repeat appearance. didn't i just go to the vet? I'm sure i did .. he said i was fine, and i distinctly remember scratching someone...
Next, there was all sorts of commotion as more familiar things we carried out of the house, and more strange people showed up. there was more commotion, crying, and general sadness, and it seemed to have something to do with me.
Shortly after this, i was put in the blue box and carried to the blue car, with Old Grey nowhere to be seen. Mommy drove, and drove and drove... surely the vet was NOT our destination! it was hot. the noise frightened me. despite the reassuring words from my human, i cried until i was finally
released in a strange place.
there was another human at this place, a familiar-smelling human. i recognized her as mommy's friend, the crazy lady. they both gave me lots of attention, but then they left me. when they returned, hours later, they smelled of strange yet familiar smells, and had lots of things for me, including pretty food bowls and a brand new litterbox.
after a night of exploring, my blue box was put away in the scary dark room downstairs, and my mommy gathered her things to leave. i tried to leave with her, but they shooed me away from the door.
This crazy lady is OK. she gives me lots of attention while she's here, but she's gone every day for a really long time. I'm sure she has a name. She knows my name, so i'll search around tomorrow and see if i can find hers. Current Mood: curious

It's getting worse. The big white things with catfood splatters are gone from my room. Now the luggage is there. RIGHT NEXT TO MY FOOD! I hate luggage.
And my human took me to the doctor. Ha! I showed them! I fought them every step of the way, and even managed to scratch one! See if they try to trim MY nails again ...
I like routine. I like long lazy days with plenty of naps in the sun, and the occasional book to lie on. I do NOT like car trips to nasty doctors, and I DO NOT LIKE LUGGAGE!
Strange things are amiss in my home. My humans are acting weird ... things are disappearing from the house, and they are inviting strangers to come in and take things, too! There's been lots of heavy discussion, lots of sleepless nights, and some crying. worst of all, that crazy friend of mommie's came last weekend, and broght with her ~ horror of horrors ~ those evil transport cases the humans call "luggage." When that stuff comes out, only bad things happen Current Mood: distressed
